The ICRC is looking for suitable candidate to fill the position of
Economic Security and Relief Field Officer
Based in Aden
(with 80% field work in Khanfar)
Main tasks:
- • Contributes to the definition of the humanitarian needs in Southern Governorates and to the design of appropriate responses.
- • Contributes to the implementation and running of relief, micro economic and agro projects / programs in the field, mainly independently
- • Maintains contacts with interlocutors / authorities at various degrees
- • Facilitate in the cooperation with Yemen Red Crescent Society Aden Branch for Economic Security activities.
- • Supervises staff and volunteers
- • Independently reports on the progress of the programme
- • Provides situation analysis relevant to the overall understanding of local dynamics for ICRC activities
Selection requirements:
- • University degree in Agriculture, Economics, Development Studies or related fields
- • Fluent in English and Arabic, written and spoken
- • Good computer skills (word, excel and others)
- • 2-4 years of work experience in a similar field.
- • Good communication and analytical skills.
- • Able to work independently and transparently report
- • Able to spend time in difficult conditions
- • Very good knowledge of Southern Governorates, socially and geographically.
